This year’s OUTPUT once again featured a variety of student projects from our Interactive Media Lab, as well as an award for an excellent thesis.
From April 19 to 22, 2026, the Dagstuhl Seminar “Exertion and Fatigue in Body-Based Interactive Systems” took place at Schloss Dagstuhl. Among the invited participants was our group member Katja Krug, who contributed to the interdisciplinary exchange.

Raimund Dachselt and Katja Krug co-organized the workshop “Beyond Fatigue: Building an Ergonomic Future for XR” as part of the first AlpCHI conference, which took place in March 2026 in Ascona, Switzerland. Katja Krug also attended the conference in person.
This week, we happily welcomed Prof. Eva Hornecker from the Human-Computer Interaction group at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar at the Interactive Media Lab.
Recently, Julian Baader and Katja Krug attended the Mensch und Computer conference in Chemnitz. Both contributed a short paper and presented an associated poster.
Over the last two weeks, we were delighted to welcome another distinguished guest to the Interactive Media Lab Dresden: Prof. Can Liu, Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at the City University of Hong Kong.
We recently welcomed a special guest to the IMLD: Prof. Tim Dwyer from the Department of Human Centred Computing at Monash University, Australia. As one of the leading figures in the field of Immersive Analytics, he brought with him extensive expertise and inspiring insights into current research trends that are highly relevant to our own work.
This year’s Long Night of Science in Dresden was warm and fruitful, and our Interactive Media Lab once again participated with a wide range of interactive exhibits hosted in the APB building.
