Wissenschaftlicher Miterarbeiter
Seit Oktober 2018 bin ich wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Interactive Media Lab Dresden. Von Oktober 2018 bis Juli 2022 war ich Mitglied des DFG-Graduiertenkollegs 2323 mit dem Thema „Förderlicher Gestaltung von Cyber-physischen Produktionssystemen„. Das Graduiertenkolleg war ein stark interdisziplinäres Team und beschäftigte sich mit cyber-physischen Produktionssystemen (CPPS) aus den Perspektiven der Informatik, des Maschinenbaus, der Elektrotechnik, aber auch der Psychologie. Innerhalb des Graduiertenkollegs wurde entsprechend dem Thema meiner Dissertation geforscht: „Understanding Visualizations in Augmented Reality“ (vorläufiger Titel).
Ab August 2022 bin ich Mitglied bei ScaDS.AI. Genauer gesagt bin ich Teil des Teilprojekts „Scalable Visual Computing“, in dem ich mich auf die Entwicklung von Multiskalen-Datenvisualisierung für heterogene Geräteumgebungen und effektive, natürliche multimodale Interaktionstechniken konzentrieren werde, während ich Wahrnehmungsfragen für Multiskalen-Visualisierung untersuche und Forschung zu responsiver, d.h. adaptiver Visualisierung betreibe.
Im Allgemeinen liegt mein Forschungsinteresse im Bereich Augmented Reality. Konkret geht es darum, wie Nutzer in Zukunft mit und in solchen Systemen arbeiten können, die nicht nur die neue Geräteklasse der Head Mounted Displays nutzen, sondern auch die Zusammenarbeit mit konventionellen Geräten wie Desktop-PCs oder Tablets. Dazu führe ich häufig Studien durch, die es den Designern zukünftiger Systeme ermöglichen, eine fundierte Entscheidung darüber zu treffen, wie sie die Nutzer hinsichtlich ihrer Leistung, aber auch der Nutzererfahrung am besten unterstützen können.
