Mit ausgezeichnetem Erfolg verteidigte Tom Horak als weiterer Mitarbeiter des Interactive Media Lab Dresden am 07. Juli 2021 seine Dissertation.
Sein Thema Visual Data Analysis in Device Ecologies befasst sich mit der großen Breite an verschiedenen Geräteklassen, welche zur visuellen Datenexploration und -analyse genutzt werden können.
Somit verbindet er Aspekte aus den Forschungsbereichen der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion und Informationsvisualisierung.
Als externen Gutachter seiner Arbeit konnten wir Jo Vermeulen der Autodesk Research Gruppe (Toronto) gewinnen. Nach gelungener Disputation wurde der Tag mit einer abendlichen Feier in der Nähe des Elbufers mit dem gesamten Team des Interactive Media Labs und Gästen ausgelassen gefeiert.
Wir gratulieren Tom Horak nochmals herzlich und wünschen ihm alles Gute für seinen weiteren Weg.
