Bei der Langen Nacht der Wissenschaften 2024 war unser Interactive Media Lab sowohl in der Informatik-Fakultät als auch vor dem Eingang der Alten Mensa vertreten.
Im Andreas-Pfitzmann-Bau bot unser Labor eine Vielzahl von Demos an. Wir präsentierten CleAR Sight, das die Möglichkeiten von transparenten Displays in Augmented-Reality-Umgebungen demonstrierte, und die Virtual-Reality-unterstützte Endomersion-Demo aus unserer Arbeit im Exzellenzcluster CeTI.
Außerdem zeigten wir PEARL, eine Augmented Reality-Anwendung zur Analyse menschlicher Bewegungen. Auf unserer Display-Wand präsentierten wir unsere Forschung zur Informationsvisualisierung mit mehreren koordinierten Ansichten auf großen Displays. Schließlich waren unsere Arbeiten zur Visualisierung von Berechnungsmodellen mit unseren Evonne- und PMC-VIS-Demos zu sehen.
Die Wanderausstellung Bakteriopolis, Teil des DFG-geförderten Schwerpunktprogramms (SPP 2389) „Emergent Functions of Bacterial Multicellularity“, war vor der Alten Mensa zu sehen und zeigte unsere Zusammenarbeit mit dem Lehrstuhl für Allgemeine Mikrobiologie zur Vermittlung der faszinierenden Welt der Bakterien.
