Especially in the research area a semantic way of information organization is common. There are also some cases where private users can benefit from the usage of an ontology. Most known here is the semantic desktop, which organizes the documents of an end user. If the benefits of an ontology shall be used for arranging a multimedia collection, it will be necessary to face many interesting questions. Only a few of these are answered by existing works.

This bachelor thesis evolves concepts for visualization and interaction with an ontology for multimedia organization using a music collection. These concepts enable the end user to create and edit the ontology. The intense usage of the star plot technique in order to visualize the connectivity of an element as well as the usage of multi touch gestures for the interaction forms an intuitive overall concept. Moreover, selected parts were implemented in a prototype. Altogether this thesis presents comprehensive concepts for a simple ontologybased organization of multimedia documents.
