This year‘s OUTPUT was particularly successful for the Interactive Media Lab, since we received four awards for projects which were developed at our chair, including two awards for excellent theses and a shared first place for two of our demos.
During the welcome event, our colleague Katja Krug received the 3m5 award for an exceptional Master Thesis, for her thesis titled: “Supporting Augmented Reality Data Analysis with 3D-registered Input on a Transparent Surface”, supervised by Wolfgang Büschel and Raimund Dachselt. Furthermore, the Bachelor Thesis “Interactive zip-on textile elements for haptic user interfaces”, supervised by Konstantin Klamka and Raimund Dachselt, was granted the Technische Visualistik award for the best Bachelor’s degree.
Additionally, two of the four project demos, which the IMLD presented during Output, received a shared first place award for the best demo: STRAIDE, presented by Severin Engert and Andreas Peetz, in cooperation with Konstantin Klamka and Raimund Dachselt, and MARVIS, presented by Marc Satkowski, in cooperation with Ricardo Langner, Wolfgang Büschel and Raimund Dachselt.
