We recently welcomed a special guest to the IMLD: Prof. Tim Dwyer from the Department of Human Centred Computing at Monash University, Australia. As one of the leading figures in the field of Immersive Analytics, he brought with him extensive expertise and inspiring insights into current research trends that are highly relevant to our own work.
During his one-day visit, we presented a selection of our current demos and took the opportunity in engaging discussions to exchange ideas on research topics and brainstorm possibilities for future collaboration.
A highlight of the day was his well-attended talk on “Emerging Topics in Visual and Immersive Analytics”, in which he presented current challenges and developments in this research field, and some current examples of his ongoing research.
We sincerely thank Prof. Dwyer for his visit and the inspiring exchange – and we look forward to the prospect of future joint projects.
